As the Kansas City Chiefs gear for another title chase, superstar duo Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are juggling more than just playbooks and practices.
Alongside training for what could be a defining NFL season, the pair are preparing to open their new business venture: 1587 Prime, a modern steakhouse set in the heart of Kansas City.
Announced earlier this year, the restaurant project is a collaboration between the three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback and his longtime All-Pro tight end.
Described as a “contemporary steakhouse infused with the spirit of Kansas City,” 1587 Prime has been quietly building anticipation. On Monday, fans finally got the news they’d been waiting for – the official opening date has been set for September 17.
Kelce, never one to shy away from enthusiasm, celebrated the announcement in classic fashion, dropping a fiery three-word comment on the reveal: “Let’s go KC!!!”
Mahomes quickly followed up in the comments, pointing out the coincidence of the date with a personal milestone of his own as he turns 30 on September 17. With a wink to the occasion, Mahomes teased the possibility of merging celebrations: “30th Birthday Party?!?!”
