Breaking: This Royal Couple Is Set To Join Prince Harry And Meghan Markle For Invictus Games….Read More

This year’s Invictus Games is nearly at hand. As Harry and Meghan prepare to head to Vancouver Whistler, Canada, for the 2025 edition of the veteran games, they will be welcoming some royal guests. Yes, these royals are also based in America.
Have you got your calendar marked out for this year’s Invictus Games? Well if you haven’t, you can follow in Prince Joachim and Princess Marie’s footsteps and do so.
If you happen to look at the upcoming engagements for the Danish royals, you will see that their Feb. 14 and 15 is already booked for the Invictus Games.
The royals moved to Washington D.C. in the summer of 2023 for a new role that will see Joachim work at the Danish Embassy under the Ministry of Defense.
The trans-Atlantic move was especially notable at the time since it came a year after Queen Margrethe stripped his kids of the Prince and Princess titles they had inherited at birth in a surprise step she promised was “necessary [for the] future-proofing of the monarchy.”
This meant that Joachim’s four children – who he welcomed from two different women – were demoted to the titles of counts and countesses.
Even though Joachim was none-too-happy about the decision and it led to a public fallout, Queen Magrethe stuck to it. (In context, while the rule affected Prince Joachim’s children, it did not affect the titles of King Frederik and his wife, Queen Mary, who are still princes and princesses.)
The Games will be a form of reunion for Prince Joachim, Princess Marie and Prince Harry. Joachim and Harry met in Copenhagen in October 2017 during a visit with Danish Invictus Games participants.
Denmark veterans joined the Games as early as its maiden event in 2014 and have been yearly participants since.
