Source Discloses Alleged Reason for Taylor Swift’s 2025 AMAs Non appearanc…See More

Remember Monday, when we entered a joint state of delusion and were convinced that Taylor Swift would 1) show up at the 2025 American Music Awards, and 2) announce Rep TV? Yeah, neither of those things happened, but love clowning regardless!

Taylor skipped the annual awards show and if you’re wondering why, a source has some alleged tea. “She avoided the AMAs because she didn’t want to deal with 1000’s of questions about the Blake Lively saga,” an insider tells the Daily Mail, noting that “it is all anyone wants to talk about and Taylor is really tired of it,” and that she’s eager “to move on and she does not want to keep dealing with it.”

Taylor was subpoenaed by Justin Baldoni’s team in his ongoing legal battle with Blake Lively (per ABC, “the subpoena is no longer needed because the necessary information has been obtained”), and the ordeal has reportedly impacted her friendship with Blake.
A source previously told People that “their friendship has halted” and that “Taylor wants no part in this drama,” while another insider said they are “taking some space” but are “not no longer friends.”

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail also spoke to a source who said “There is no recovering from this. Their friendship is done. What Blake has done was exploit the Godmother of her children and manipulate the public into thinking that she was watching out for her best interests. Taylor is done and Gigi is done with Blake, and she has no one to blame but herself. Taylor is a girl’s girl and she loves her friends. She will bend over backward for them but when that trust is broken there is no going back.”

Swift, who holds the record for the most AMA wins with 40 under her belt, failed to secure any new gongs on Monday but was nominated in six categories for her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department: Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Favourite Touring Artist, Collaboration of the Year, Favourite Female Pop Artist and Favourite Pop Album
