Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been dating for almost a year now, and some new music about their relationship appears to be on the horizon.

Travis Kelce, the NFL superstar, may have made his move on Taylor Swift long before their relationship became public knowledge, according to surprising claims from his next-door neighbour. It’s said that Kelce tried to charm Swift after attending one of her ‘Eras Tour’ concerts at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium, where he jokingly planned to give her his number post-show.

However, he was unable to meet her and was informed she doesn’t mingle with fans afterwards. Kelce humorously commented: “I received a bunch of [friendship bracelets] and wanted to give her one with my number on it. So she doesn’t meet anyone or at least she doesn’t want to meet anyone, so I took it personal.”
A few months later, whispers began circulating that the pair were spending time together, fuelling dating rumours. These speculations were confirmed when they made their first public appearance as a couple in September 2023 – three months after his unsuccessful bracelet gesture. However, Wes Bergmann, Kelce’s neighbour in their exclusive gated community, insists the couple were together much earlier than the public realised.

Speaking on the RHAP podcast back in February, Bergmann revealed he’d been telling everyone for months that his neighbour was dating Swift. “He’s an enigma – on one hand, he’s like this big, tough football player, on the other, he’s going to have about 12 Taylor Swift songs written about him,” Bergman quipped.

Amidst speculations of Kelce possibly hanging up his cleats following the Kansas City Chiefs’ unsuccessful bid for a historic three-peat, the player has chosen to give it another go, potentially inspired by Swift’s musical portfolio.

Kelce shared insights on his New Heights podcast about seeking solace in music during tough times: “The only way you can find yourself in the light is to find yourself in the dark first. I just listen to music that is very telling of my mood. Taylor’s music, she has something for everything. How the Eagles broke my heart.”
