Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez kicked off 2025 by bringing an official end to their marriage…but the gossip column drama continues unabated as the former power couple pursues new ventures, professional and romantic.

As his highly-anticipated film “The Accountant 2” nears its April release date, Affleck continues to be linked with his first ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, in a complicated situation heightened recently by a public display of affection between the two at a paintball outing. The “chase” — as well as Garner’s wavering stance on rekindling the romance — has infuriated Lopez in addition to John Miller, the CaliBurger CEO to whom Garner has been tied romantically since she finalized her split from Affleck in 2018.

But Affleck’s desires or wants in this case may not be fulfilled as he’s gone viral again for an unfortunate reason. The 52-year-old was spotted in Los Angeles over the weekend during an outing with his 13-year-old son Samuel, and The Daily Mail reported that the “Argo” spat up a gross mix of phlegm and saliva in full view of the paparazzi

Affleck, dressed relatively simply in a full-zip sweater over a plain T-shirt and a pair of jeans, moved past the gross gesture to continue his bonding day with Samuel. But the negative press won’t thrill Garner, though it may get a laugh or two out of Lopez.
