The McCaffrey family is showing Taylor Swift some major love,and it’s coming straight from the top. Former NFL star Ed McCaffrey, father of San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, admitted he boycotted Swift’s music in the lead-up to Super Bowl LVIII for competitive reasons. But now, with the big game in the rearview mirror, he’s lifting the ban and joining the Swiftie wave in full force.
In a recent appearance on the Your Mom podcast hosted by Christian’s fiancée Olivia Culpo and her sisters, Ed revealed that he had intentionally avoided Taylor Swift’s music in the weeks before the Super Bowl, out of loyalty to his son’s team as they prepared to face Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs. Kelce, of course, is famously dating Swift, and the media frenzy around their relationship was a major talking point leading up to the game.
