There will be a USA woman in the 2025 China Open final, but will it be Amanda Anisimova or Coco Gauff?

The respective women’s world No. 4 and No. 3 players face off in the semi-finals of the WTA 1000 tennis tournament, taking place in Beijing, People’s Republic of China.

Anisimova is aiming for her third final at this level and a second title of the year, after her breakthrough triumph earlier this season at the Qatar Open. The 24-year-old has twice come from behind to win in Beijing, first against Karolína Muchová followed by a gutsy performance against Jasmine Paolini.
For defending champion Gauff, she has her sights set on a third WTA 1000 career title and a first since she lifted the China Open a year ago. The Roland-Garros winner overcame Belinda Bencic in a fiery affair before a straight sets win against Eva Lys, as she chases what would be a first trophy since the French Open.
