The party took place on Sunday, September 15, two days before Mahomes’ official birthday on September 17. With the milestone falling midweek, the celebration was scheduled in advance of team commitments.

The occasion followed a disappointing start to the Chiefs’ 2025 season. Kansas City lost its opening two games, including a rematch of Super Bowl LIX against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The defeat left the defending champions searching for form as they prepare for their Week 3 fixture.
