Selena Gomez’s flipped-out, chin-length bob has become her signature hairstyle in recent years, but she’ll stray from the minimalist, rich mom-coded look for a temporary transformation. After recently dabbling in ‘90s butterfly-cut layers, courtesy of long extensions, the Rare Beauty maven brought back a Millennial-approved (and Taylor Swift-beloved) version of the tousled front bangs that she last sported in 2022.

Unlike the textured, French girl-esque full bangs and choppy bob that she debuted three years ago, Gomez’s latest fringe era is piecey, long, and straight, with subtle nods to her Y2K beauty era and her best friend’s signature look. In a photo shared to her Instagram Story on Monday,

Sitting on a white bench, the former Disney star posed in a tie-dyed pink, blue, and white Rare hoodie paired with distressed light-wash blue jeans. A pink flush on her lips and cheeks finished off her casual Monday look.

Gomez may be best-known for her side-swept bangs during her Y2K Disney star heyday, but she’s experimented with many different face-framing styles over the years. Some of her most memorable looks include her wispy, caramel balayage fringe in 2016 and a butter-blonde eyelash-grazing cut in 2017, which many a fan brought in to their hairdresser during the Noughties. However, most recently, she turned heads with ‘70s-inspired, curled-under bangs, as well as a curly, rocker-chic style earlier this year.
