Taunting Travis Kelce headbutted over Patrick Mahomes as Taylor Swift watches on…..see more

A Patrick Mahomes touchdown led to Travis Kelce getting headbutted, as Bills DT Jordan Phillips clashed with the Chiefs star while Taylor Swift was sat in the crowd.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was headbutted by Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Jordan Phillips while his girlfriend Taylor Swift watched on at Arrowhead Stadium.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes scored a rare rushing touchdown late in the second quarter of the AFC Championship game against the Bills, as Buffalo safety Damar Hamlin failed to stop him entering the end zone. Kelce proceeded to taunt Hamlin before Phillips rushed over and leaned in with his helmet, initiating head contact.
Kelce then staggered backwards after feeling the full force of the 6-foot-6, 342-pound tackle. Phillips’ actions cost the Bills, as Kelce’s taunting went unpunished, but the headbutt led to a 15-yard penalty flag for unnecessary roughness.
It meant that the Bills had already lost yards before starting their next offensive drive, while a taunting flag would have boosted their field position. It was a moment of pure frustration from Phillips, which summed up Buffalo’s mood as the game started to slip away in the second quarter.
The Chiefs led after the first quarter as running back Kareem Hunt rushed for a 12-yard touchdown, while the Bills settled for a field goal after entering Kansas City territory. The Bills then took their first lead of the game after running back James Cook found the end zone, but quickfire scores from Xavier Worthy and Mahomes flipped the game once again.
The score was 21-16 heading into halftime, as Bills wide receiver Mack Hollins caught a 34-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Josh Allen to restore hope with 23 seconds remaining. The headbutt on Kelce was his only real interaction in the first half, as he caught one pass for eight yards.
Although Kelce had a quiet first half, his girlfriend was seen celebrating all three touchdowns inside the Chiefs’ suite at Arrowhead Stadium. Swift arrived with Kelce’s mom, Donna, on Sunday night, and was seen hugging her throughout the game.
Kelce is now 35, and it’s been speculated that he’s considering retiring from the NFL following the conclusion of this season, despite still being one of the top tight ends. However, not only is Swift supporting his football career, he still loves playing in the NFL.
When asked about what Swift thinks of his career longevity, Kelce told Stephen A. Smith: “She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game. She loves coming to Arrowhead [Stadium] and coming to the games and cheering for me, so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams.
“I love everything that I’m doing … but at the end of the day, I’m not having that extreme success on the field. I’ll reevaluate it like I always do, and I’ll probably tell myself how much I love this thing and I’ll come back next year.”
