Despite repeated attempts, Wagner has managed to evade authorities and private investigators. Hired investigator Brooke Berg reported that her calls and text messages in September went unanswered, and previous stakeouts at multiple Colorado residences turned up nothing. Wagner even claimed in August that he was homeless, denied involvement in legal matters, and made unsettling statements about Swift. The TRO has been extended until September 22, 2025, as the legal team continues trying to locate him.
Brian Jason Wagner, 45, from Colorado, has been causing serious concern for Swift’s team. Swift obtained a temporary restraining order (TRO) on June 9, 2025, citing stalking, credible threats, and potential violence. Wagner had previously made repeated visits to Swift’s properties, sent threatening emails, and made bizarre claims, including insisting that he should live at her house.
