Even though fans were hyped up for a July 4th engagement, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce is not set to propose to star singer Taylor Swift yet
A report from Athlon Sports says that Kelce has no plans right now to ask Swift to marry him, as he wants to keep his mind on his NFL future.
Fans thought that July 4th, a day Swift loves because of the big parties and celebrations, might be a key time in their love story. But people close to them say that while Kelce loves Swift, he will not ask her to marry him until he retires from playing football.
“Travis isn’t going to ask for her hand in marriage this weekend,” a person told the Daily Mail. “He is likely going to pop the question, but it is going to be when he isn’t playing anymore and not getting ready for a big NFL season.”
This fits with talks that 2025 might be Kelce’s final season, as the 35-year-old player starts to feel the physical weigh and tears of many NFL years.
