Follow coverage of Super Bowl LIX at the Superdome in New Orleans as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles
Today’s game is a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, after the 2022 season, which the Chiefs won 38-35.
Super Bowl LIX, which is taking place in New Orleans at the Superdome, is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET. Follow all of the latest news below.
One thing is clear from our NFL staff’s Super Bowl picks: It’s not easy picking against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
That’s two of our reporters who have tipped an Eagles victory today. But what do you think? Make sure you get involved by emailing
Eli Manning has just defeated his brother Peyton in FanDuel’s “Kick of Destiny” on Fox’s pregame show.
After both brothers missed their kick in the first round, Peyton’s next kick doinked off the upright before Eli booted a perfect one through for the victory.
It’s yet another win for Eli over his brother on top of his three straight victories as a head coach in the Pro Bowl.
It’s also a more successful outcome for the “Kick of Destiny” event after Rob Gronkowski failed to make his kick each of the past two years.
FanDuel bettors who backed Eli will share in a $10 million pot of bonus bets on the platform.
I am betting against Patrick Mahomes at my own peril. The Eagles team just feels uniquely equipped to conquer this Chiefs team. Philadelphia has too many weapons and boasts the defense to make a few stops.
Eagles 26, Chiefs 24. Saquon secures his rushing record, but Jalen Hurts takes home MVP.
The Chiefs have the fifth-fastest time to pressure in the league with the league’s defensive tackle leader in pass rush win rate in Chris Jones.
Kansas City also boasts a very solid run defense. Whether it’s in protecting Jalen Hurts, making holes for Barkley or successfully orchestrating a tush push, the Eagles offensive line needs to be at its best for Philadelphia to take home the win.
The health of this offensive line — especially at center — is crucial to success.
It’s a toss-up between Kelce and Worthy for me, but I lean Worthy because of Philadelphia’s strength against tight ends in coverage.
The Chiefs need a possession receiver to get chunk yardage against this Eagles pass defense. While Worthy is known for his deep-ball speed (the Eagles lead the league in DVOA on deep targets), he also has shown to be the only receiver not named Travis Kelce on the Chiefs roster who can handle double-digit target games this season.
But it’s not as difficult to do as it was a year ago when 80 percent of our 50 voters predicted the Chiefs would beat the San Francisco 49ers (they were correct). This time, 63 percent of our 41 voters believe the Chiefs will win their third consecutive title and beat the Philadelphia Eagles at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
