But here’s where the plot thickens-Swift hasn’t endorsed anyone for the upcoming election, and according to insiders, she’s definitely not on the Trump train. A source close to the singer spilled the tea, saying, “She didn’t back him before, and she’s certainly not starting now. It’s like he’s lost touch with reality.
The burning question remains Was Trump referring to the fake AI crowd or was he seriously claiming a Swift endorsement?
Now, Trump’s post wasn’t entirely fiction. Wisconsin Right Now dug up a real photo of a 19-year-old Trump fan who wore a “Swifties for Trump” tee at a rally in Wisconsin.
However, despite this one-off fan, there’s no real evidence that a massive “Swifties for Trump” movement exists, as the satire-labeled images might suggest.
Doubling down, Trump later posted a video of a supposed MAGA supporter declaring that Swifties were “waking up” after a failed terror plot led to the cancellation of Swift’s Austria leg of the Eras Tour.
The authenticity of this video? Still up in the air. It’s worth remembering that Swift hasn’t exactly been Trump’s biggest fan, especially after she vowed to vote him out in 2020, following his shocking win in 2016.
Swift has been politically vocal since the 2018 midterms, backing Democrats in Tennessee and later throwing her full support behind Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in 2020.
