Jennifer Aniston’s Top 10 movies and TV Redcapit show
Jennifer Aniston is a name synonymous with Hollywood royalty as she has had a long, storied career in movies and especially television. Primarily known as Rachel Green in one of the greatest sitcoms of all time, Friends, Jennifer Aniston took the entertainment industry by storm in the mid-90s primarily due to that role. Alongside Friends, she has also appeared in several other TV shows, but her most prominent newer project is The Morning Show on Apple TV+.
Jennifer Aniston’s first major film role came in Leprechaun, the darkly funny horror comedy. After that, Anistion had a number of roles in major films throughout her entire career, including Office Space, The Iron Giant, Bruce Almighty, He’s Just Not That Into You, and Horrible Bosses. Aniston has routinely been in romantic comedies, several with Adam Sandler. Her biggest upcoming project is The Morning Show season 4.
One of the lesser-known films in Nicole Holfcenor’s filmography doesn’t mean it is bad by any means. In fact, Friends Wwth Money is pretty great, especially as it explores a friendship between four friends, where three of them are rich and one works as a house cleaner. Monetary wealth is at the heart of the film, but Holofcenor explores how that shapes friendships and the relationships with those around the people who have it.
Jennifer Aniston leads the way in Friends with Money as Olivia, a broke, single woman who makes ends meet by cleaning houses in Los Angeles after quitting her job as a teacher. Her friend group is made up of three wealthy women. Holofcenor is fantastic at making her characters feel real with grounded, witty dialogue, and Aniston nails her performance, really exploring her character’s insecurities with her spot in life.
Based on the novel of the same name by author Sharon M. Draper, Out of My Mind tells the story of Melody, an 11-year-old girl with cerebral palsy who is mostly non-verbal. Out of My Mind is touching and inspirational, never looking down at its protagonist but taking an empathetic look at her journey through the sixth grade. It’s a fantastic coming-of-age story with a remarkable lead performance by Phoebe-Rae Taylor as Melody.
The most recent role for Jennifer Aniston, she plays Melody’s Inner Voice in Out of My Mind. While Melody is unable to speak, her inner voice is that of Aniston due to Melody’s love of Friends and Rachel Green, a rather cute reason for the A-list actress to be the voice. She does a fantastic job, too, really capturing what Melody is thinking throughout the film, showing how talented she is as a voice actress, even if she hasn’t done a ton of it in her career.
Led by an incredible performance by Warrick Davis as the titular character, Leprechaun follows a vengeful leprechaun who believes a family has stolen his pot of gold, stopping at nothing to hunt them down and get it back. Leprechaun skirts the line between comedy and horror, and while it might not be that technically great of a film, it is a lot of fun and a welcome addition to the ’90s slasher genre.
